2023 Original 11x14" Oil on Canvas
This painting began in plein air on Wekiva Island, a park preserving "old Florida" beauty. There I captured the palm and river with blooming mallows, blocking in the neighboring trees awaiting spring. I felt another layer of work was needed to strengthen the background, so I completed it in studio.
